FAQ

Here we give detailed answers to frequently asked questions about our language programs for expats. Is your question not included? Please contact us, we are more than happy to discuss your specific requirements.

Currently, we offer language programs for expats in English, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese and Russian. Please contact us for further languages.

Both! We teach one-on-one which offers our expats the greatest flexibility. But it also makes sense to teach small groups of employees who share the same learning goals. And of course it very much depends on many other factors such as individual learning styles, time frame, location etc. Please contact us to discuss your company’s requirements.

Our philosophy is to reach people anywhere either by providing online live sessions or face-to-face lessons in different countries through our worldwide network of highly qualified language teachers. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

In general, most employees prefer to study individually with private teachers. In some cases, we can organize small group courses, if requested by the company and the employees. We never form courses with people from different companies together. However, our leisure program is open to students from different companies or universities.

All our language programs for expats will be tailored to your company’s needs. Please contact us to discuss this further.

Future expats are strongly recommended to start studying the new language as soon as possible, ideally several months before moving abroad. In accordance with their employer, we are more than happy to start teaching as early as possible.

We provide courses for individual clients as well. All students are welcome and each of them will get the best service according to their specific needs.

Our language programs are designed with expat executives and their families in mind. Because we know how busy expats can be, we allow our students to book and reschedule their lessons flexibly. Additionally, our team of teachers and translators will make living in a new country much easier for expat families: we will help them in everyday life communication and when dealing with paperwork. Last but not least, Talk@Work organizes exciting trips for expat families to explore their new host country’s culture.

Talk@Work offers intensive weekly courses in cities, the countryside, mountains and along the coast. Four hours of lessons each day will be one-on-one with a teacher, and at breakfast and lunch, there will be many opportunities to converse with native speakers. Evenings and afternoons are filled with sightseeing tours, dining in local restaurants, and attending social events.
Immersion courses are the best way to learn a language quickly while experiencing the culture and traditions of a new country!

All our teachers speak English and several other languages. They know when using English or a student’s native language is helpful. In these cases, the student can have a more efficient and effective service especially when they need extra and deeper explanations.

Of course, our dedicated staff of teachers is always available to train all expat family members at home. We offer standard language courses online at convenient times for our students. Children of all ages can also benefit from our special kids’ language courses.

Yes, we can help. Many expat partners wish to work once they have settled in a new country. For the process of looking for a new job and applying for it, we provide specific expat partner support.

We help expat children to access prestigious schools around the world by preparing them to pass the admission tests. And for future university students, we offer tutoring that focuses on understanding specific terms and support by reviewing their work.

Our language programs for expats include many social events. Whilst enjoying an aperitif, a coffee or dinner, attending a cooking class or theatre play, they meet new people learning the same language.
